Your Hair Colour Consultation At Karen Wright Salon, Croydon

Your initial Karen Wright hair colour consultation allows our creative team to get to know a little more about you and your hair, the look you’re trying to achieve and your ideas behind your chosen hair colour.

We will assess your hair and consider the type of curl, current hair colour and condition and whether you have used any chemical processes on your hair. To ensure that your hair colour will last we will also discuss little bit about you and your lifestyle and your home hair care routine.

Ammonia Free Hair Colour

If you are looking for a gentle, ammonia free alternative to the original Joico hair colour, we are pleased to be able to offer this in our Croydon hair salon. The unique formula conditions even the most damaged hair, infusing each strand with gorgeous, rich, vibrant dimensional colour. The nourishing protective forumla seals in moisture and softness, leaving you with sensational hair colour which lasts up to 30 shampoos. 

Highlights & Lowlights

We can add a wide range of colours to your hair using highlights and lowlights – you can achieve a look that is bold or as natural as you wish! Gold, platinum and even red hair colours can be added to your hair using traditional foil highlights which are either sliced or woven into your hair.  Highlights will brighten your hair and look particularly good on layered hair. If you are looking to add depth to your natural colour, lowlights such as rich chestnuts, deep coppers and plum colours can create sensational multidimensional hair colour.

Your Karen Wright colour expert will discuss how many foils are needed to achieve the look you want and what suits your lifestyle best, for example if you wear your hair up regularly we are likely to recommend a full head of highlights or lowlights. If you want to simply add some interest to your natural hair colour using partial foils on the crown and front hairline, or placed at random throughout your hair to create a natural look.

Balayage & Ombré Hair Colour

Our expert colourists use a freehand technique to create the latest balayage hair colour technique. Balayage gives a natural sun-kissed look to your locks, with highlights painted onto your hair where the sun would naturally pick it out, usually around the face with a few well placed colours woven throughout your hair.

Another modern technique that is increasingly popular is ombré hair colour. A typical ombre look is where the top of your hair fades into a lighter shade at the tips with a defined contrast, whether this be brunette to blonde ombré or an ombré effect using the latest fashion hair colours!
